That’s a lovely song Nim. BJH always reminded me a bit of the Moodies but I’ve never listened to them to intently. It’s inspired a bit from the Beatles too building from what is a nice folky number to a big orchestral climax.
Interesting they recorded with a full orchestra a la Days of Future Past. Shows record companies in the early 70s were pretty free with their budgets considering they weren’t a huge selling act.
I also see Norman (Hurricane) Smith was their producer. Must have learnt a bit from George Martin in recording with orchestras.
