Best Lead off track?

Simple thread, I am not including Yellow Submarine, 1, or any non-studio albums since they appear on other albums...vote away!

Why aren't you including Yellow Submarine? It contains songs that are not on any other album. Personally, I agree, but then you've got Magical Mystery Tour in there.

"A Hard Day's Night" for it's big opening chord and saying it all about the early Beatles. "I Saw Her Standing There" is almost as good.  :)

I would, but it's not a true original studio album, and I had thought about it over and over because I love the first track on there as well.

operning guitar & bass before Ringo rolls it up on the drums!  ;)

Come Together because you don't know what the song is really about when you first hear it.

All the songs mentioned are equally good.............but I've always liked "Back in the USSR" the best.  It's a great rocker.............

I Saw Her Standing There

I love Back in the USSR & Come Together & Drive My Car.  I couldn't pick a second best out of those if I had to.

Definitely I Saw Her Standing There for me. I just love that amazing "One, two, three, fawr!" by Paul that kicks off the album and, well, I guess you could also say their whole recording career! Then the music starts and it just gets better and better, I think it's such an amazing song. :)

A Hard Day's Night

As previously mentioned, the opening chord, F with a G on top.
