How did you manage to get buried up to your neck?  Did you need a tow truck to pull you out?

Yikes! Even the roads? And I thought that harrowing trip across the driveway and into the yard to let the dogs out was scary. Stay safe Kathy.

Pretty much sums it up! On the bright side ... the heavy runoff will clean out the streams and rivers and fill our lakes with good fresh water for the spring/summer fishing season. There's got to be a bright side!

Thanks, Kelley! The main roads and highways are in pretty good shape, but side streets remain sheets of ice. I live in an apartment and am so paranoid that I'm going to slip and shatter my right wrist as I'm crossing the parking lot to and from the garage! If I hurt any part of my right arm I can't work, and then I'll be up a creek without a paddle.

I can actually see the last layer of sand that was put down, frozen in between ice layers. Ugh!

Dog sled!

:)

ha2ha That looks like an interesting way to travel and one that Dave should definitely consider! (That Star Wars creature doesn't look like it would be useful on a three dog night.)

Aww...yeah, that is a scary thought. Hibernating is starting to sound like a good idea!

You are really getting slammed this year, Dave! I bet the skiers are thrilled. I know I would be.

That's what I want too! We had one when I was a kid. It was the only way to get up the road to our camp in the winter. I begged my dad for a Kitty Cat but he said no, if you want to drive a sled you'll have to drive the real thing. So that's what happened. I was 9 years old then! I think he probably regretted it because he'd barely finish dinner and I'd be asking him to go start it for me. It was like this one:
