It's an unbelievable 102 here right now; there's actually a heat advisory in effect. This must be a NoDak precedent.

Thanks, Kelley! Did you send some positive vibes up here?  :) The temps broke overnight, and we woke up to a cool mid-70s. Whew!

We had huge thunderstorms yesterday evening and that helped a bit but it was hot and humid today! I did the only thing possible. We laid on the on the chaise lounges and drank some cold white wine for most of the afternoon!

The Netherlands have been unusually wet in the last few days. In some places it rained for 60 hours!

Kelley, that was at the Rally For Nuclear Disarmament on The Great Lawn in Central Park on June 12, 1982.  Almost a million people were at the rally.  I was in the OR just several hundred yards away.  I got to see some of the concert from the roof of the medical center when I was through.
