We are now in full winter mode, with double-digit subzero windchills and all parts of the state under some sort of warning:

. . . On the other hand, someone in Perth, Western Australia, said last week on Instagram that the forecasted high there for Christmas Day was 111 F (45 C). My daughters and I have been doing a "would you rather" sort of thing in regard to that.

I seriously dont know how you cope with life in such freezing temps. I think I'd just lie down under a big thick blanket

Yep that sounds seriously cold. We whinge here if temps pop below zero Celsius.

You get used to it. . . sort of. I do spend a lot of time lying down under a big thick blanket. Dreaming of warmer places, like Brisbane.

It's the wind that makes things really unbearable. It cuts right through you.
