Check it out folks, here's what I found:

http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22680

So the Fabs have now already sold 52 million CDs in America since SoundScan started measuring sales professionally.

Awesome, ain't it?

I think they are at about 167 million in total US sales.
Elvis is second at about 118 million.

Remember the quality too. Some of us think that quality actually matters more than quantity.

In this case quality equals quantity. It seems as if you are implying that the starter of this thread values quantity higher than quality. Far from that. I am just enjoying that the quality of the Beatles' music is still recognized by many people to this day - there is no better prove of this than the monstrous sales the Beatles still rack up today (outselling all contemporary artists but 1). If that is not reason to celebrate, I don't know.

It's hard for the others to compete with the greatest rock and roll band of all time and they never will.  Did anyone else notice that Micheal Jackson wasn't on any of the lists which is excellent.  I hope Jackson gets found guilty and gets to spend the rest of his life behind bars.  Although he will probablly get off it is good to know that his albums arn't selling too good and the next time that we will probablly hear Jackson's name mentioned is when he dies and by that time everyone will be saying Micheal who?

I can't remember who it was, but someone had posted that a remastered catalogue would only appeal to audiophiles and die-hards, which is just short-sighted bullcrap. The numbers speak for themselves. As long as there is product, in whatever form, the Beatles will always sell in incredible numbers. I can't believe the Bean Counters haven't realized that something like a remastered DVD set of live performances would be the Cash Cow from Hell, or 'Let It Be', meanwhile the bootleggers on Ebay are doing just fine selling average product.
