Setlist

. . .

In Spite of All the Danger

I guess those of you who have seen Paul live are not surprised by this, but I was not aware he played this in concert. I checked his set list for the show he gave in North Dakota back in 2017 (which I did not attend, and now I'm kicking myself) and see he did not play it at that show, but he has played it at others (e.g., at Dodger Stadium in July 2019). This song is one of my favorites. If I'm not mistaken—and I may well be—this is the only composition credited to Harrison/McCartney, correct?

He played this when I saw him too. It’s a fun and catchy tune. My daughter impressed me by knowing all the words (she’d heard it from the film Nowhere Boy).

I think youre right, I dont know of any other tune with just a Macca/George credit. George wrote the guitar solo and at that point Paul thought that would justify a credit. Ironic that a few years later george could contribute words, riffs or arrangements to a song and not get a credit.

You're a good Beatle parent.  :)  My daughters know the song, but I doubt they could sing along with it. (Although they've heard me sing it enough times.) And neither of them has seen Nowhere Boy. They weren't old enough when it came out, and in the intervening years it (i.e., watching it with them) slipped my mind.

Great song, great film.

He played it at MetLife Stadium in 2016 too.  We all enjoyed it!
