I was just looking through Paul's albums on walmart.com, as you do, and listening to the 30 second samples.
I have to admit it: I have fallen in love with Press!
What I'd like to know from you guys who have the album is: Is it worth buying the album just for the one song?
What are your thoughts on Press To Play? Hit or miss?

Miss, I'm afraid - some may disagree though.

I like 'Press to Play'. It has some decent tunes on it like 'Stranglehold', 'Good Times Coming', 'Pretty Little Head' and some more. Its not one of his better albums, but its not as bad as McCartney 2 and Pipes of Peace.

Well, I can certainly sympathise with you, Master, as I adore
Press
as well - I bought the LP last year. I have to say I very, very rarely listen to the other songs (maybe
Angry
once in a while for no good reason) - I could have done with the single, really...

I mentioned on the 80s thread that I really enjoy Stranglehold, Write Away, and Only Love Remains, other than that, the album tried hard... but the songs just seem forgettable to me.

This was actually one of the first McCartney albums I ever purchased. I think I bought a tape when it came out. If you get a CD that includes "Spies Like Us" then it's probably an ok buy, otherwise, there aren't enough really good songs to make it worthwhile, for me. I preferred
Flowers in the Dirt.

There are some weaker ones (not McCartney II or Pipes Of Peace: very melodic this one): Wild Life, for example.
I enjoy it: good moments.
