I think eating meat is natural. Why else do we have omnivoric, boiological traits. We were maid to eat meat. Plus think of the food cycle. It's all natural. Personally I think taht people who are vegitarians are quite soft. I don't mean to be rude but that's my opinion.I know Paul and Linda were one's but I've always thought of paul as soft. Plus just because some one might be soft that dosn't mean there a bad person. people can be who they want to be so I respect there decisions even if i think there wrong. that's just the way things have to be.

Trying to remember Anthropolgy 1. Didn't meat enlarge our brains, free us from the constant need to forage, and hunting for it bring about/increase our language skills.
Otherwise we'd still be sitting un der the trees searching reach other for nits.

Well sayed, but you missed th big thing.

Humanoids have been eating meat since their sepperation from the apes. we evolved because we were able to eat meat.

Most primates eat meat if they can get it. They are still mainly vegetarians though. They haven't changed because they didn't need to. Now unfortunately time has caught up with them and hence they go the way all our other unchanging family member have-into oblivion

That's the point: we're able to, but we don't have to. So I think we shouldn't.

Putting my two-penneth in a bit here but I seen a documentary where a pack of apes had some cannibalism issues. Can't remember which program.

1. What's your point? I live life too.

2. I think vegetarism is part of us humans evolving. A couple of thousand years ago we realized it was barbaric to throw people in front of the lions in stadiums as a form of amusement. A couple of hundred years ago we realized it was stupid to burn people because we thought they had witch power. A few decades ago we realized it was unacceptable to thread black people as lesser human beings. And that women had no right to vote. Lately most people are understanding that homophobia is retarded, and I hope that slowly but surely we will eventually realize that slaughtering the innocent for the sole reason that "they taste good" is just not good.

And talking about the meaning of life: we're talking about YOUR life, but how about the lives of the animals? Doesn't those lives have any meaning or value?

Yeah, but in the Simpsons episode "Lisa the Vegetarian" he talked about not pushing your views on others. Although he seemed to lose sight of that after Linda died. Sigh. But let's not get started on that.

I normally hate it too when people push their views on others (which I don't think I'm doing here, people are argumenting and I'm just responding without judging anyone), but I think that vegetarism is an exceptional issue. Cause eating meat or not eating meat is a decision that not only concerns you, but also the animals. It's just my personal opinion that it's just not right that humans threat animals like things, like biological machines, who's lives have little to no worth and who are only here to feed our appetites. It's hard to shut up about things like that.

Ok, well, you seem to feel really strongly about this, so it doesn't bother me.

Speaking of forcing views on others, you know what annoys me? When atheists and people from other religions try to convert me. I'm perfectly happy being Catholic, thank you very much. ::)
Sorry for the off topic rant.
