If you had a time machine and you could go back in time to a certain period in Beatles history, where would you go and what would you do?

I would go back to the 1964-1966 period and meet Paul and try to hit it off with him.  ;)  :K)

1967 for the Sgt. Pepper/Mystery Tour period. It would be cool to burn one with them and watch the music develop.

I would like to see the Beatles in their leather jackets playing in Hamburg back in 61 as well as hanging out with them during the recording of the White Album, Let It Be & Abbey Road despite the personal & professional tension at the time because they rocked out in those sessions.

I'd like to have been around when they hit these shores. I can't imagine the excitement they generated and being a part of it. Also making sure I didn't throw anything out so I'd be retired by now.

I'd like to have smoked a little s h i t with George Harrison, oh, round about late 1966 or 1967.

Then, I would like to have had afternoon tea with George and Olivia in the gatehouse of Friar Park, sometime in the 1980s. After tea, I would have liked George to show me his gardens. Finally, we hit it off so well, he asks me to stay for dinner.

Beginnings???

You have to remember that America came in late. The Beatles had started to take off in the UK in late 62, and 63 was a great year for them.

If you want beginnings, it's 1962!

Probably mid 1963 through the end of 1964 when they were conquiring the world and seemed to love every minute of it.

Totally agree with you. What an ill-considered thing for Deadman to say. Makes me shudder.
