Yep - by Humphrey Lyttleton in the mid Fifties. Did you know it was also released on Parlophone?!!

Most definitely on Parlophone:

My downloads have a lot of fuzzy noise in playback.

The proper releases will be much better quality.

I can't say enough how good it sounded on the radio. Crystal clear. Mr Martin has not lost his touch.

The second CD will be a deluxe digipack edition, with a bonus DVD of audio only tracks remixed in 5.1 surround sound (in three formats - DVDA, DOLBY and DTS).

No footage to go with the DVD? Just to get better sound quality?

I'll be buying 'LOVE', but I wish they would quit p*ssing around and remaster the whole catalog soon instead of coming out with stuff like this.

A little quiz for ya - who can name the song whose drums are used as the intro to Lady Madonna?

Why don't we ...

Incidentally, those silhouettes used for the cover were in the news recently. They are from photos from some lady who now lives in Jersey I believe and who had a hard time proving she had taken the photo.

Strawberry Fields Forever is brilliant, but I don't really want to hear all those other Beatles song bits at the end of it. Spoils it a bit. Would have better IMO without those other song parts.

I agree with you there - judging by what I've heard so far I think the rest of the tracks are going to be like that as well.

I noticed that icq is now available from this site. But now we have to pay don't we? Is there a way to use it free? Or is there something similar to icq which is free? Anyone know? Bit off topic - sorry!

Has anyone seen the actual show yet in Vegas? I'm trying to talk my family into going to Vegas for Christmas and want to get tickets to the LOVE show. Which is weird because it takes something I love more than anything and combines it with something I HATE with a passion. I just have to experience that. Anyway, the album looks interesting though. I definitely will be getting that!

Well, I have to admit that I haven't read all of this thread, so apologies if I'm repeating anything.

I too would rather forego this for a decent set of remasters. But as this is Apple/EMI we're talking about, then let's all collectively whistle. Therefore, any Beatles product is - hopefully - better than nothing.

My strong feeling is that the remasters will start to see the light of day next year. You know how Apple like an anniversary. 20 years since the original CD's came out. And Neil Aspinall has already admited that they have been remastered. Not that he ever said or did anything sensible before.

Here's hoping.

Love will be something different. Don't expect anything conventional.

Paul.

BTW. Any news of the digipack? Amazon had it, and I was going to pre order, then they didn't have it anymore. I don't want to risk pre ordering and then gettiing a sodding jewel case!
