Paul solo 84-87... after the infectious singalong of 'We All Stand Together' and the cinematic tour-de-force of 'Broad Street', two of his greatest triumphs as an artist... it only went downhill from there. I would have wanted him to keep it up. I like Ringo solo in 1978 as well
Hey!  You're a real funny guy!

Tour-de-barf is more like it.  ::-o

The middle one is my personal favorite....past the Beatlemania years and before they started pulling apart.

I would have to say 1965- 1966.  I couldn;t vote in the poll becasue I think what they did in 64 (Hard Days Night and Beatles for Sale) is quite different to Revolver, but more similar to their 1963 stuff.  Not a criticism BTW, just opinion.  :)

On poll I would go for 66-68 if I did vote.
Really though would have to be 64-70 for me. They grew as men.

1966-1968, but I thought all their music was gear. I liked the journey they went on with their music.

1966-1968

Such a great time of growth and creativity for the band.

I like the 1964-1966 period myself. A lot of the songs were romantic, especially ones sung by Paul.  ;)

Sorry, more to add. The greatest guitar band album of ALL TIME would be (in no particular order):

Daytripper
Rain
Paperback Writer
Taxman
Your bird can sing
Dr Robert
She said she said
Tomorrow Never Knows
For no-one
Eleanor Rigby
I want to Tell you.

Eat your hearts out Oasis/REM/U2/Franz Ferdinand/The Strokes............

Well, I like their music from 66-68 best, but I like them as a band, personalities, from 64-66, becaus those were the "happy" times.

I voted for 1966-1968. They were great before and after that, of course...I could've gone for any range there.  I'm having an obsession with Beatles '68 right now. ^^; '68 and '64 are pro'lly my two favourite singular years, but...I <3 them all.
