I've come across Daniel Johnston a few times now, and really am becoming a fan! He's created dozens of albums, and some really nice tunes (like grieviences), although it sounds as though he's had a tragic life with his mental illness. Why does he shake??
Cheers for posting the clips, I've just pre-ordered a copy of the DVD off amazon.com and will look forward to watching it!

His songs remind me of Elliott Smiths.

In the couple of occasions we have met, Daniel has either been completely stationary or very shaky. I think it is probably a side effect of his medications. He seems to shake more when he is concentrating on something. Thanks for ordering!!!

Not exactly my piece of cake, but I wish you and Daniel all the luck in the world.

Hi guys,

I've been hovering when I've had time, but I thought I would mention that in the current issue of Record Collector, which has Paul McCartney on the front, and a feature on his avant garde works, on 108 you will find a review of 'The Angel and Daniel Johnston - live at the Union Chapel' DVD, and it is rather flattering :)

I hope one or two of you might check it out if you get a mo :)

You can also read the review online here: http://www.recordcollectormag.com/reviews/review-detail/3677

Cheers,

Rob
