i just saw R.E.M. in concert at ipswich town football club in england, and they were brilliant!!!!!!they have been doing a worldwide tour for 9 months, and this is one of the last few dates.the zutons and idlewild were supporting, but i missed idlewild, the zutons were ok, but nowhere near as good as r.e.m., michael stipe is an exellent showman, and danced all around the stage, with the bass player. also at the end, he put an ipswich town football club shirt on , which was great!!!they opened with everbody hurts, and get up, and the best songs they played were 'leaving new york, orange crush, losing my religion, nightswimming, the outsiders, and man on the moon(encore)....they were really fantastic!!!

I thought they postponed a lot of their shows because of the terror attack.

Sounds like a great show. I love R.E.M and their music, but Stipe gets on my nerves sometimes.

oh yeh, btw, about that. at the beginning of the show  michael stipe spoke about the terror attacks in london, and hope we can all come together, and remember those who died in the attacs and he said he was in hyde park london at the time...and then launched into everybody hurts.

I saw them in Budapest in january this year. They were great. Hope to see them again sometime, hopefully here in Iceland.

I missed them when they were on the Isle of Wight. I had to go and gig. And I had a backstage pass. Oh well. Same thing happened last week with Suzanne Vega.

Bloody gigs!!! lol....Gotta earn your dough though.
