Beatles, Elvis, Sinatra Nominated For American Pop Music Hall of Fame

CANONSBURG, Pa. (AP) -- The American Pop Music Hall of Fame won't be open until next summer, but the first round of nominees to be inducted into the western Pennsylvania-based hall have been announced. The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra are among the top 40 nominees.

The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour film

The Beatles company, Apple, recently announced that the The Beatles self-conceived and directed film, Magical Mystery Tour, will be restored and released on DVD and Blu-ray on October 9. Apple announced that an added bonus to the release would be screenings of the 53-minute film for the first time ever on the big screen in the US and around the world.
