Always loved this clip, very funny near the end but also a good opportunity to hear them play live without screams

That’s a great clip Nim. I haven’t seen it in full before. They were really tight and the singing is terrific. Even John’s slight crack on This Boy just gives it character.

Yeah I really like that one and the Royal Variety for the lack of screaming, Budokan was quiet but I didnt think they were at their best.

That’s an understatement  ;). They really needed the screams at that point.

Thanks for posting this very fun video, Nimrod.  party2

One thing I noticed was how often John peaked at his fret board.  It seemed like he did this every so many seconds.

MORE OBSERVATIONS:

John's vocal got stronger the more he sang (This Boy).

"All my Loving" is a very bouncy song.  Paul's body language reflected that.  Ringo's drumming also gave a very bouncy feel to it.

Ringo's drumming added a really good dramatic effect to "I want to hold your hand."

It was interesting to see how George shared the mike with Paul and then later with JohnGeorge was pretty important in this respect.

I loved seeing Cilla Black. icon_love She exuded joy and genuine laughter.  I think both her and the Beatles really liked Morecambe and Wise.

One strange part:  Why did Ringo remain seated when everyone else left the stage at the end of the show?

It's a real shame that the show with The Beatles was black and white as opposed to the Cilla show which was a bit later..... however another point was I'D like to say how great a dancer Ernie was at the end of the Cilla clip he was very funny

Excellent point, Kev. The audio from this that was included on the first Anthology cds kind of lit a fire in me that just smoldered until I got my first computer.
