That's my mom's name.  But she spells it differently.

Anyway, it's a great song and is worth a listen to...

Do You Remember Rock 'n' Roll Radio by The Ramones. It was mistakenly downloaded onto my MP3 player, and now I'm stuck on it!   :P

Kookaburra

Aww...that brings back memories! Even in this country Early Chilhood Ed. majors can't graduate from college until they learn this song. It worked well with the autoharp.  :)

Kookaburra

I am not going to click on that -- yet -- because I know the song will be stuck in my head for days!  ha2ha

Unlike some other childhood songs, I've always genuinely liked Kookaburra.

It's cute, Kathy.  They sing it in a multiple round too.  Well, as best as kids that age can manage which makes it even cuter.

I think that Waltzing Matilda is worthy of being your national anthem.

I remember our music teacher telling us what swagman, billabong, jumbuck, tucker bag, etc. meant.

When I was in college the Australian exchange students in our program had to sing that for us and explain what it meant. They didn't look all that excited to do it, either.

Strewth!  Those exchange students had some white ants in their woodwork.  Waltzing Matilda is crash hot!
