I think that I want to Hold your Hand, Twist and Shout, I Saw her Standing There, Lady Madonna, Hey Bulldog, Shout, Can't Buy Me Love, Day Tripper, and I Wanna be Your Man are good ones.

Imagine you're throwing a party for your friends and you wanted to create a Beatles party mix CD.  Which fun, fairly upbeat songs would you choose?

Helter Skelter, Strawberry Fields Forever, or Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.  Always gets my friends and I going :)

Get Back, Hold Me Tight, The Night Before, You're Gonna Lose That Girl, Fixing A Hole (If you have a top hat and a large, fluffy feather.), and... there are a lot more, but I'm too lazy to type.

Good grief, I'm having some poor luck with repeating threads lately (and yes, I do search back a couple of pages to see if there are any duplicates).  Sorry, moderators!!  I didn't mean to create extra work for you.   :-/

We did a Beatles Party CD for our last new year's party (and we'll use it this year too!). It has a mixture of early Beatles as well as some of the number ones and some slow music. Works well  :)

Do you all think that "Birthday" and "Back in the USSR" would be good songs to dance to, or have at a party?

And maybe slow dancing songs "If I Fell", "And I Love Her"?

Twist and Shout has gone over really, really well at the parties I've been to. Back In the USSR is a good one, too.

I'll say we had quite a lot of fun on New Years singing and dancing to Oh! Darling and Helter Skelter :)

Yes It Is! lol

The night has to be broken up with some slower paced. Those 2 and Something are our fave slow love ones to do.

Still trying to nail singing and playing the right bass on Oh Darling but I couldn't resist singing it on holiday at a karaoke recently. lol
