Thanks Paul. You were brilliant today as well  ;D , a pity I had to play first. I guessed the question about George's song, but it was alright. You didn't lose the match today of course, but at one point I remember I was about 43 points behind. What went wrong?

Good luck everybody! A new month, a new round. I'll be at least six days off this month...

I think lethargy got the better of me at one point. It would be nice to have some questions that we haven't had before. There's meant to be around 4500 Beatles questions on there. Not sure whether to carry on or let a few of the other regulars shine.

I'm playing and hope that Gloi for instance will play as well. I won't be there all month tho, so you might have a chance.  ;D

From yesterday's quiz. Just what does this mean?

8. This song is a re-writing of the song "It Won't Be Long". Name the song.

The correct answer was Any Time At All.

Me yesterday: "^Neither I! I can 't see the connection between those 2 songs"

That was the one I got wrong yesterday.I thought the answer could be When I Get Home but...

I guessed that as wel, but I really have no idea what the connection between one of these must be. I thought it was one of the many things I don't know about the bealtes (songs), but If even you don't know  :)

This quiz is a mess from time to time:we all know that there is at least one wrong answer to one question about Ringo's credits and there are some other weird -to say the least- answers too.It is expected from all of us to learn and remember wrong answers to win.Bah!

I'm open for any alternative.

It is not your fault as far as I know so do not worry. It is that a few of us are quite "surprised" reading the supposed right answers to some questions and so some of the fun could be lost, but I will continue playing as usual I think,at least for some time.I insist:do not worry about anything.

"John admitted Any Time At All was a rewriting of his earlier song It Won't Be Long, using the same chord progressions from C to A minor and back and, when it came to recording, employing the same bawling vocal style."

Definitely a wrong answer in today's quiz. The trouble is that none of the answers are right!
It doesn't worry me though. In fact it's quite amusing.
I prefer that to no quiz at all!

The art is to remember which ones have the wrong answer. Unfortunately, I didn't today!

I think I know which one you mean, and I double-double bluffed by going for the answer I did! Got 10 by skin of teeth today! small things like this make me smile mysteriously for the rest of the day. no-one else would understand the pleasure!

Well the question was the one about Eight Days A Week.

The 'right' answer was 'John's chauffeur'...
but in the book Many Years From Now, Paul specifically points out that the title was inspired from a chauffeur he'd never seen before who was driving him out to John's house, so it couldn't possibly have been Alf Bicknell, John's chauffeur, who he knew very well.

Was this the question you were thinking of?

Yes, I was talking about the chauffeur question! I never want to say too much, cos it could spoil someone's enjoyment of the quiz. I fluffed up one question today, and will have to go and bury my nose in a book! If only my teachers at school had inspired me to learn random facts like this, I'd be so well qualified today!!! Ha Ha Ha Ha!
