My favorite solo Michael Jackson song HAS to be Man in the Mirror! What a great tune.

Isn't it weird that we had this discussion not so long ago? And now...

What ever you think of MJ we will be talking about him for decades to come .
Music wise i like Off The Wall and the early Motown recordings the Jackson five did , not over keen now of Thriller and his latter stuff apart from a couple of songs , so i would say i'm much more of a 70's fan of MJ's music .

You need another opinion from a different part of the world to be more objective: Michael Jackson was a great act of the 80s, his music was most welcome and most embraced, he introduced new sounds, he was a banner of the 80s. Some people consider him to have been the most original, unlike the others act. Irrespective of the fact whether we consider his music good or bad nowadays, he was great.

I am glad I wrote these words then. And I repeat that Michael was and is great.
