Swift Boat Veterans For "Truth"
« on: September 14, 2004, 11:31:39 PM »

These people make me absolutely sick.  John Kerry's record in Vietnam is there for all to see.  He earned the medals in the eyes of the Army, and regardless of the Purple Hearts, he saved a man's life and displayed good judgement and courage in turning his boat into enemy fire.  These politically motivated ads are despicable and serve a man who didnt even go to Vietnam, yet is made out to be more of a man than Kerry.  (barf4)

Wait Sun, did'nt you see the new information about "dubya".The reason he was'nt present for National guard duty was that he was on a top secret mission, flying to New Orleans and back, to test the effects that alcohol and lurid women from the french quarter had on military pilots. LOL.......... :D ;D :D ;D

I actually got a letter in my mail about how the reason dubya wasnt in alabama was cuz he was in vietnam on top secret dangerous missions.  LOL, at least I can laugh at these crazies.

"Vietnam" must be a codename for a frat house.  And "top secret dangerous missions" must be secret code for doing cocaine in a brothel.

The ONLY good thing about Kerry is he is not Dubya.

The Democrats ALWAYS choose a weak candidate and shoot themselves in the foot.  Kerry has nothing to recommend him...he has been a runner-up for presidential candidate for years.  An already certified loser.

Of course, I'll vote for him.  Why?  Because the system is set up for the lesser of two evils.  And until that changes no one ever has a REAL choice.

He may be.  Jimmy Carter was seemingly a great guy.  Doesn't make him worth sh*t as a president tho.  The job is too important to keep handing to doofuses.

Thats the kind of thinking (and a certain female republican judge and some well hidden ballot boxes) that got dubya elected in the first place. Voting is the only say you have in the electorial process. VOTE! It counts.

Carter also had a Republican house and senate that fought everything he tried to get passed[/quote]

Not my point.  He was ineffective as a leader.  He tried, I admire him personally, but his lack of performance is one huge thing that allowed us 8 years of Reagan and another 8 of Bushies.

I think Kerry lost the election because.....

He voted for the war
He supported the Patriot Act
He supported No Child Left Behind

He wasn't really a clear alternative to Bush in my opinion.......his whole platform seemed to be "I'll do what Bush is doing.....but better..." I voted for Nader, but hoped that Kerry would win, but whatever.....the Democrats need to stand up to the corporations that are controlling this world and truly become the people's party if they start to win elections.......being Republicans-lite isn't going to do it.

John Kerry lost because he was a losing presidential candidate from the start which insiders in the Democratic Party already knew.  The Democratic Party is one of the biggest corporate entities around just as much as the Republican Party.  I predict the next presidential candidate in 08 for the Democrats will lose against the presidential candidate for the Republicans because they have no message.
