New Album 15 November
« on: September 24, 2009, 05:51:05 PM »

A new album will be released on November 15th this year. It's a cd and dvd of the concerts in Citi Fields, New York on July 17, 18 and 21.

Thanks for the heads-up, Cor.  I've seen bits of his concerts on YouTube.  I'll be getting his album for sure!

Another live album + DVD? His voice is only getting worse. He's not going to make a better live album now. Pass.

Sigh. I'd much rather have him release stuff that should be released (Rockshow?) than another new concert release.

That´s great news. I just hope it won´t be like the Back in the US dvd.

That was a good example of how a concert film should NOT be.

When I purchased the US DVD I was hoping for just plain concert with the songs in right order. Paul and the band should be the show - not the adoring fans. The editing is way too much. All the fans saying how much they love Paul and so on should be in the special features section and not always popping up in between songs. It is annoying as hell and the reason I don´t watch it as much as I would have.

I love the audience comments and the backstage access on McCartneys DVDs, and it's fabulous to see people giving McCartney praise for once, God knows he's been crucified enough over the years!

Even though this release will feature the same basic setlist McCartney has been performing since the 80s, I will get it for the new songs like Day Tripper, I'm Down, Highway, and Only Mama Knows.  I wish it included the live versions of the songs House Of Wax and That Was Me.

McCartneys voice isn't getting worse, he's singing absolutely fantastic!

Sigh!

No it isn't!  Too many people who have seen McCartney very recently have said that he sounds absolutely wonderful!  In fact they comment that they are just amazed at a man his age still singing the way he does.

Yes his voice has changed, but getting worse, that's not what the vast majority of people attending his shows are saying!

Yes I have ears, two in fact, and so do all the people who very recently attended McCartneys shows!

The vast majority of those people who attended McCartneys shows, these people were there, they heard the man live and in person, so I think they know what they heard?

They say he sounded absolutely wonderful, and I bet this new live album and DVD will show exactly that!

I personally don't think his voice is getting worse. People wouldn't be going to the shows then. It doesn't sound like it did in 1967. But it isn't god awful. And I don't really like the fans and such, but I love the sound of a live performance  ;D

I've seen the man live 5 times and i'm telling you that even back in 2005 (last time I saw him) his voice was nowhere near what it was like in 76' and I cant imagine its gotten better with age.

As a matter of fact, my buddy and I admitted that its sad how bad his voice has gotten after watching a live show on VH1 recently. I'm not sure what or how your coming to your conclusion, but your wrong. Sorry, plain and simple.

Tkitna, I've seen McCartney live multiple times myself, and no his voice isn't what it was in the 70s, who's is?

The statement was that his voice has gotten worse recently and that is just not true!  Where am I getting my conclusions from, all the reviews from people that attended his very recent shows!

Once again they say he sounds absolutely wonderful.  All you have to do is check it out for yourself.  Of course there's going to be some that say negative things, some people are just hard to please, but the vast majority of people commenting say that McCartney sounds great!

I think all the people with those positive reviews thinks he sounds great for a 70 year old.

I also think he sounds good for a 70 year old, but considering how the songs sounded originaly,,,its pretty sad to me.
