Thoughts on Starr/Harrison song writing team?
« on: April 07, 2010, 07:08:21 PM »

"Then I started to write a bit, and I did It Don’t Come Easy, Back Off Boogaloo, tracks that George Harrison co-wrote with me. Because I’m great at two verses and a chorus, but ending songs is difficult for me. I write a thousand verses and wrapping them up is not the best thing I know how to do.”-Ringo

I think they were great whenever they collaborated together.
Some great Starr/Harrison songs:

It Don't Come Easy:

Slightly off topic, but I have these solo George + Ringo songs stuck in my head...

George Harrison - My Sweet Lord:

Ringo Starr - Only You:

They were alright. They had a couple of decent tunes together and a few average ones. No big deal.

Yeah, that's how I look at it too. It wasn't like they could be another Lennon/McCartney.

Nobody was comparing them to Lennon/McCartney. But I love the songs they did together.

I love Photograph, especially from George's memorial concert in the Albert Hall, that was great.

Same! I really like their collaborations 8) I like both Photograph and It Don't Come Easy... and King of Broken Hearts, too. I also like the songs that George wrote and Ringo sang, like Sunshine Life for Me and I'll Still Love You :)
