I met a couple today at a Melbourne Cup party at a friends house, they were from Liverpool originally but migrated to Oz 30 years ago, his name was Mike, I mentioned to Mike later in the day that I was a huge Beatle fan and was quite shocked to hear that his wife knew all The Beatles and Rory Storm and Johnny Guitar, and she had been a good friend of Cilla Black.
She showed me a picture on here phone of Rory, George, Ringo and a few girls, she is the one with the photo damage over her face, she found this picture in The Beatles Anthology Book
She was a regular at Cavern lunchtimes and various gigs including being driven by Ringo to the Litherland Town Hall gig
I told her about 'Tune in'...........she'd never heard of it but she said she couldve told Mark Lewisohn a few tales
