Hate the tone of the comments until around 110, writer severely dislikes many songs I/we cherish above that number and doesn't hide is disdain.

Wow, agreed. I skimmed the first 50 or so entries and was frankly shocked by his hostile tone. Makes me wonder if he was trying to provoke conversation, but I see there is no "Comments" section.

His tone and attitude appear to improve at the higher ranked songs, but this still doesn't excuse (at least, I don't think it does), the near-vitriol he extends to the lower ranked ones.

I'll have to take a closer look at that list in a bit.

thanks for posting this, I like the top 10 or so very much, a very different list than most, Walrus usually doesn't ring in that high (no pun intended). 

The list I will be doing with my Beatle buddies will be "favorites" as the determining factor on order, not "best" or most successful or whatever, just favorites.

That's the beauty of any sort of Beatles list: the subjectivity.    I was pleased to see "And Your Bird Can Sing" included. I think it's underrated.

I was disappointed to see that Mr. Moonlight wasn't included.  But maybe that list wasn't meant to include covers.

I'm Looking Through You was included.  The commentary had some errors though.  Perhaps the commentator doesn't know that the song was a solo effort by Paul.

I was pleased to see "And Your Bird Can Sing" included. I think it's underrated.

Me too.  And Your Bird Can Sing features brilliant harmony lead guitar passages played by George and Paul...

agreed, but didn't it show up in top 5?  That (subjectively) is a little too high for me

just compiled my fav 100 written/recorded songs by the Beatles as Beatles

Now waiting for my two buddies to send theirs to bring together

It was hard, there are amazingly a number of songs outside the top 100 that you would question how?

Ranking within each block of 10 (that was my method, after getting 100, broke them into 10's) was difficult too, but FUN

I hope they get back to me this weekend, if so, I could compile a list next week from the three of us, and like I said earlier, make a video of the results later

As i pull together pieces of my favorite top 100 songs written and recorded by the Beatles as Beatles, i would like to extend an offer to be the compiler of a similar project for as many people on here that want to participate

Would anyone be willing to sit down for a couple/few hours to work through a spreadsheet set up with all the songs?
i thought the process was fun for first 20-30 picks, became more difficult over next 30 or so picks and even sad as i began to realize that some songs i like were going to be outside of 100 and off the list

could be "the official DM Beatle Forums" top 100 from 2022

any takers?

if anyone is spreadsheet savvy, I have a list of written/recorded Beatle songs in alphabetical order I can send on request
it could easily be sent or posted in a simple list too

Wow, I was surprised to see Tomorrow Never Knows as #1. I love the song and it's genius. But never expected #1.

It's impossible to list songs without at least some personal opinions creeping in.
