What Beatles stuff did you get for Christmas?

I got The Rubber Soul Collective sleeve calendar that comes with a Rubber Soul vinyl cover which I think will frame.

I got Hunter Davies' book and a coffee table book of Beatles-related newspaper articles. That's about it in terms of Beatles stuff. I got some awesome ocean liner gifts, too, but that's a discussion for a different forum.  :angel:

I know.  The picture on the calendar is reversed, but so is the picture on the cover of The Beatles Yesterday  And Today...

I hit the jackpot for Christmas this year. From my parents, I got a calendar, My Ticket to Ride book by Janice Mitchell, a shirt with a flower with a stem that is shaped to make the words Let It Be, and the 2-book set The Lyrics by Paul McCartney. My parents like to splurge on everyone, no matter how much we tell them not to, and all this stuff was their idea. From my husband, I got a Beatles music box that plays Let It Be....and, most importantly....what I've been longing for for 16 years....Paul's Hofner bass! What a surprise! It brought tears to my eyes. God bless my husband. How will I ever live up to that and get him an equally special gift?!

Hi Julia and welcome back!

You really received a wealth of Beatles presents this Christmas, didn't you?!  Treasure them all and enjoy learning to play bass guitar on that Hofner bass.  As you already have a background in 6-string guitar, you'll find bass guitar easy to learn.
