It'll be nice to see the footage cleaned up and less like watching a tv station with bad reception.

But that's the way we saw it in theaters in 1970.  They filmed it in 16mm.  There's a certain charm to it, in my opinion.

Yes, the enhancement is superb.  I love how at the end Ringo says to Paul "Is that one called "I Got A Feeling?"

The cameraman, wearing that Mona Lisa smile, knew that was coming.

Yeah, the whole movie was like that.  The most notable scene was George getting fed up with Paul's incessant criticism...

The argument is put into context here...

Paul and John went at it too in 1969.  Paul always appeared oblivious to the trouble he was causing...

I watched part I this morning, true treasures for fans.  I watched it alone, knowing others in my house would not be interested on each word spoken...can't wait for tomorrow's part II and then the conclusion with the full rooftop concert, will be amazing in my opinion.

I'll be watching it alone as well given that I have no local Beatles friends or family. Right now I am frustratedly stuck in front of a football game. Looking forward to tomorrow night, when I can curl up and enjoy the episodes.

Yes really enjoyed first episode. I agree it’s really for fans. I’m not sure how more casual viewers would appreciate a lot of the noodling around on old songs and in jokes.  Although the potted history at the beginning at least gives viewers context.

Won’t do any spoilers for the moment for those who haven’t seen it. Suffice to say there’s some really funny moments, some interesting views of them working out the arrangements and, without going into detail,  a moment for all those Yoko fans out there.   Michael Lindsay Hogg is a big presence in this version. Mal Evans also gets lots of screen time.

The film quality is interesting. At times brilliantly clear but at others quite fuzzy, like parts of the film were beyond doing much with. The repair work done on the original film is apparent occasionally. Sometimes their faces look smoothed out,  as if computer animation had been used. People more savvy with digital restoring of film will no doubt be able to point out what’s been done.

Sound quality is great. They’ve cleaned up the sound very well from the Twickenham parts.

part II doesn't disappoint either, wow, some wonderful footage and moments (no spoilers for you)

I had my wife, a lifelong supporter and put-up-with supporter of my Beatle fandom, on part II.  She really got a kick out of a few parts in particular and the banter and oddities that are part of it all.

You can really hear the music come together in Ep 2. The sound is very punchy on the songs too. And lots of funny moments. They seem to be genuinely enjoying themselves after getting away from Twickenham. . Great to see more of Billy Preston.

I have nothing to add here, except that I'm enjoying the series. I wonder how more casual Beatles fans, who aren't acquainted with more intense fans, are perceiving it.

Yeah loving hearing all these snippets of songs that I hadn’t heard of before. And hearing songs like a Get Back just grow from nothing is terrific. Ringo is great too. His quiet expressions are priceless.

Can I also just say, Linda McCartney was very attractive.

just finished up part III, so awesome

tiny bit of a spoiler below

Loved, loved loved the camera recording the police in the lobby and Mal basically buying time when he came down.  So much more details than I had seen previously.  So sad it is over, until they find footage stored away for 60 years from recording Abbey Road... <can only hope>

I think Debbie the receptionist deserved a bonus too. Also stalled beautifully.
