« on: December 17, 2005, 09:45:34 PM »

i dont know if this is already posted before

according to the boston herald today, a company out west is making a John Lennon doll in the spring after seeing the turnout to the 25th anniversary of his death. The company couldn't be contacted nor could Yoko Ono. The doll is in the "Lennon in New York" style.

sorry, i thought some of you would like to see this...just think my idol, a doll :'(

man, imagine having that come out "boy worships doll as idol"...jeez, and i thought america had enough problems, now some are worshipping dolls...whats the world coming too!  ;D :P

This doll of John 25 years after his death is about as SICK as you can get & Yoko approved of it sadly.

And it's a talking doll. How strange. A talking Lennon action figure. I like the term action figure. So kids can have him fighting G.I. Joe in a war for peace or something. Weird.

Why all the fuss? Haven't they all been marketed and/or whored in every way possible? A talking doll isn't as offensive as half of the bullsh*t books out there or a documentary of Chapman's stay in New York. If you don't like it, don't buy it, the best protest against an offensive product is not to to support it and have it stiff. They are selling John and George's Death Certificates on Ebay. Personally, my favorite action figure has got to be Jesus with an AK47. While you're checking out this site, you may want to collect them all and have your own Holy War.

You gotta check out JR's link.  It's hilarious.  I like the Ayatollah best.

It does put the JL action figure into perspective.  Although there's something about the JL modelling that is a little bit creepy.  Is he posable or are his arms stuck in that effete cross-armed pose (he won't be much good for fighting, but I guess he could head-butt the Ayatollah)?  With all that denim, he should be called Denim Man.

I want a Paul doll! When are they going to make a Paul doll?! But not Paul in the 70's. He'd have to have a mullet then.
