Just a turn of a knob! That's a pretty amazing instrument. Remember that the 1960s Mellotrons were limited to 8 or 9 seconds duration of a note when a key was depressed before the tape loop played out. What Mike Pinder did when he was with The Moody Blues was phenomenal!
