Smother's Brothers. You gave that away, but I knew it anyway cuz i've watched it about 4,000 times. It's at the beginning of The Kids Are Alright. How about:

On which tv show did Moon play see through fish bowl drums? They actually had fish in them. He also had cat make up on.

Name of band and album, 1968/69, but the album cover was round (ie the shape of the disc). Reprints are now a round picture on a normal sleeve. The original "roundies" are now very collectable.
