Abbey Road: The shot before the cover photograph was taken

Just stumbled across this and thought the members here might find it of interest: a photograph taken before the formal Abbey Road cover shot was taken. No idea on who the woman is or who took this particular photo. Note that Paul is wearing footwear in this pic.

That’s a cute photo. Looks like one of the local ladies in her house coat. Of course it’s the genial Ringo chatting to her while John and George’s attention is elsewhere.

Apparently some of the rejected cover shots had Paul wearing those sandals. He said he slipped them off for a few shots and it just happened to be one of those chosen.
