I heard this song was about Paul. I mean, there's a line in the song where Ringo says, "Don't pretend that you were dead" or something like that. I also heard that Boogaloo was Paul's nickname at one point. Is this true?

I've never heard that before... The only thing that I've heard about that song is that he wrote it about some dude who talked like that all the time.

yes the song was about paul...ringo was telling him to back off because he was suing to dissolve the beatles....there is a song he does called early 1970 that is about the other 3 too...how do you sleep by john is directed at paul too....

^ yeh, that's what I thought... that booklet in Photograph: The Very Best of Ringo says: "Marc Bolan was a friend. He came over for dinner one night and he used to talk like that - he'd say things like 'Back Off Boogaloo'. I went to bed and that song just came into my head in the twilight hour."

Not my absolute-favourite song but I like it
