Sexy Sady ... Here, There and Everywhere
« on: October 28, 2007, 03:02:12 PM »

I never thought they had much in common, but ...

I JUST noticed (as I went to the piano to play Sexy Sady) that the chord progression on John's bridge is chord for chord the same as from Paul's melody ... even the same key!

It's not like it's a really common progression (like blues or that 50s stuff), I've always thought of it as a Paul thing, and not noticed it elsewhere.

Not that it matters, and this really doesn't change my opinion of John as a songwriter obviously. I just wonder what might have been said, or looks given, as John demo'd the song for Paul and the others!

It's a nice progression to use though.

Thanks. I think that if I had to predict, the same progression will also somehow find its way into a future tune of mine ;-) .

I wonder if Paul actually ever "reused" it?
