That Arctic air mass is headed our way tonight. Today's high is forecast to be 39, but Tuesday night's low is going to be 28 below zero. UGH.

Hello:  Wow!  What a great song and video for "Rain."  Seems like there were a lot of Ringo close-ups in it.  I wonder why they did it in black and white.

Where was this video all these years prior to the creation of YouTube?  This is a true treasure of the past.  To think, this gem of a song was released in 1966, 53 years ago.

Make that 45 below zero. They're advising people not to talk while outside. I have no plans of even going outside.  ;)

And it says it feels like -21. Seems like the igloo and words Very Cold are a bit redundant.

We’re looking at a top of 95F today. We seem to be getting that or above everyday at  the moment. So feel free to send some of that polar vortex our way.

I'd be more than happy to! This morning it was 36 below 0 out. I can't find Bear's boots, so he had to suffer while doing his business. My daughter had to carry him to the Dumpster to throw the bag out. His little whiskers were frozen.  :-\

How bad is it in western New York, Kelley?

Poor little Bo Bear! Molly went on strike in that department for 48 hours. I was starting to worry but she finally gave in tonight and has now discovered that it all can be done very quickly when one applies herself.
We’re actually lucky here. Buffalo is a mess. They’ve had quite a bit of snow on top of the cold and are experiencing blizzard conditions. It’s going to warm up again this weekend so there’s a flood warning in place. Never a dull moment!

Survived. Luckily I’d checked the power converters...

It lasted into the night but today is blue skyed and pleasant again. Oddly doesnt seem to be a lot of dirt spread around on things.

That’s good to hear. We haven’t had dust but just about everything else: snow, freezing rain, rain and back to snow, all in one day.

The sand wasn’t too bad. The wind made me nervous driving down streets lined with gum trees. They drop large branches pretty easily.

Snow is something we don’t have to worry about at least

We've been having some hellacious wind gusts today. Of course it has to happen on garbage day. I had to round up lids and cans from our place and my son's and all day there's been stuff flying down the street from people's open recycling containers. But oddly enough this has been going on all afternoon too:



If the sun's out then she has to be out in it!

The wind always seems to kick up on garbage days here, too. I'm in an apartment, though, so I no longer have to chase our bins.  roll:)

A few weeks ago the winds were so strong a small-pet advisory was issued. Yikes.
