You know...........I've been thinking........with all the funerals I've been to in the past several months, I don't want the big "Catholic display ceremony" as a lot of these funerals do. That's always the night before the funeral, at the visitation, called a "Rosary" in the Catholic community, where you view the body all "decorated" with nice clothes and makeup and jewelry and talk about how "life like" they look........"oh, he/she looks like they're sleeping".......NOT!!!
I told my husband if I died before him, just to cremate by body and put up a ton of pictures and momentoes of my life as it was all happy, joyful, and young and full of life. No one wants to see an old persons body in a casket, made up and trying to "look good".........just remember the person as YOU remembered them and enjoyed them and celebrate the life you had with them.
Tons of money saved...................traditional funeral..........thousands of dollars.........cremation funeral.........hundreds..........save the rest and have a big party to celebrate the life of the one that departed us!!!
