From the Hamburg days - no wonder the Beatles were so insanely popular!

That's right, Kev.  I LOVE Mr Moonlight.  I'm probably the only one around who does.  I wasn't a Beatles fan until Rubber Soul.  Until then my favorite British Invasion Band was The Animals.  I mean whose lead vocals can compare to Eric Burdon's...

My sister had all The Beatles LPs and when she played her Beatles '65 album and Mr Moonlight started playing, she would say "Yech!" and skip to the next song.  I'd run over to the record player and put it back on Mr Moonlight.  John's lead vocal was superb!

Maybe, Kev, you like it without Paul on the Hammond organ...

My suggestion:  Listen to "Kitten" when you're drunk and right after the guitar solo that starts the second half of the song.  Man - does it sound good!!!   (All you churchgoers (the majority here) probably don't know nothing about drinking.)

If you're singing along, you're gonna start shouting the lyrics at the top of your lungs.  You might even feel like you just went insane.

And this was only an outtake ...

I’m quite fond of the version sans Hammond. But I like certain other aspects of the released version. I didn’t skip it when I listened to my sister’s copy of Beatles ‘65. Mr. Moonlight fans have to stick together, Barry. There’s only two of us.   ;D

Its funny how John sings the melody until Paul joins in, then he sings the harmony, Ive heard this arrangement before.

I apologize for saying that churchgoers don't know nothing about drinking.  I was in a weird mood last night.

I respect churchgoers; I used to be one.  And I will say this:  lots of churchgoers know more than enough about drinking because quite a few are alcoholics (like maybe me?)

So I do sincerely apologize for my stupid statement.

I really shouldn't post here when I am in certain questionable or negative states of mind.

Ha ha. Yep when you’re brought up catholic with an Irish background you know that there is absolutely no separation of church and bar.

Thanks, Moog.  I appreciate your astute observation.

I'm in a slightly altered state right now so I won't make any further comments.

Good night (imagine Ringo singing this to you).
