Can't stand it, turgid & boring
I'm not a fan of The Byrd, they were on the bill at Lincoln festival when I was about 19, it seemed everyone was yawning and waiting for a better more dynamic band to come on.
Sorry Hombre_de_ningun_lugar
I did know you don't like the Byrds, nimrod. And if you expected for a more dynamic band, the Byrds surely were not your kind of group. That's alright, you don't need to sorry.
Personally I love the Byrds not for considering them "dynamic", but for their deep harmonies, clean sound and innovation capacity. In fact, around 1965-66, they were one of the most experimental groups along with the Beatles and the Yardbirds. I'm sure
Rubber Soul, the first mature album of the Fab Four, would not have existed if not for the Byrds. In turn, the Byrds would not have existed if not for George's 12-string guitar used in
A Hard Day's Night.
But hey, I also love much wilder bands like the Who or Cream. But they are not necessarily better, they are just different, and I'm happy I can appreciate several music styles (folk rock, acid rock, hard rock, etc.). Perhaps I'm more narrow minded when it's about more modern music.
