George's childhood home to be Airbnb, museum

An Airbnb? Isn't this guy worried that overzealous fans will try to pry out chunks of plaster or any parts of the original home fixtures?

That said, I would personally love to stay there.

One of John’s childhood homes is also an air bnb. So maybe fans are more respectful than we’d expect. I’d be worried though.

It is cool. What amazes me is the price he got it for. £171,000 in Canberra would probably get you a caravan at a trailer park at most. This guy could make the purchase price back in a couple of years.

I had to laugh at the article linked to that one.

Back in the late 90s when we lived in Ishpeming, Michigan, the economy there was so dire that we got our house for $38,000 (~£29,100, ~ASD51,4000). I think our Jeep cost more than that! We didn't pay cash, but our mortgage was something like $150/month (~£115, ~ASD203).

I can't let my mistakes go uncorrected. I'm a bit OCD that way. It's an editor thing.
