It's official: Beatles' 'Magical Mystery Tour' coming on Blu-ray and DVD

As we hinted last week, The Beatles' third film “Magical Mystery Tour” will be reissued Oct. 9 in North America and Oct. 8 worldwide, the Beatles' Apple Films announced Wednesday. There will also be a limited theatrical release.

Vinyl Picture Disc Featuring Archival Beatles Interviews Arrives in Stores

An album boasting interviews that journalist Larry Kane conducted with The Beatles during their U.S. tours of 1964 and '65 was released Tuesday as a vinyl picture disc.  Larry Kane's Ticket to Ride features Kane conversing with the Fab Four on a wide range of topics, including politics, their feelings about their fans and their reflections on performing in America.

Cavern Club celebrates 50th anniversary of Beatles 'Some Other Guy' history

On Aug. 22, 1962, 50 years ago today, the Beatles were filmed onstage at the Cavern Club by Granada TV singing “Some Other Guy,” a song that was a regular part of their live shows and performed on the BBC.Today, the Cavern Club paid a special tribute to that day as the Cavern Club Beatles took the club's stage to sing the song as the Beatles did all those years ago.
