Argghh, I am so mad right now. My mom's good for nothing boyfriend was finally good for something because he got tickets for the Stones concert in Moncton. And what did my mom do? She turned them down, knowing full well that I have been trying to get tickets for ages now!

In your mom's defense, i think she was doing more out of politeness than the prospect of making your life a living hell.
