Ugh; I couldn't agree more. This has been a horrible year. And "mess" is the perfect descriptor of the U.S. right now. From the comments on news sites I've read online, it doesn't look like things are going to get better anytime soon. The country seems more divided than ever.

the news here in Australia is dominated by the US election.
People protesting screaming and shouting at each other I have no idea why people will do this during an election, people in Arizona wandering around with guns.
You don't see this in any other first world country.

I've started quite a lot about World war 2 it's a hobby, I'm completely convinced that without America we would be speaking German.

Well. The so-called greatest democracy in the world doesn't seem to be able to organize decent elections, in which candidates may disagree, but respect each others opinions. I feel like I've been watching an election in some African country the last few weeks.

It's amazing how quickly things have deteriorated here over the past year or so. Civility on everyone's part seems to have gone by the wayside. There is so much vitriol.

You just witnessed one of the most corrupt elections in history from a party that spent the entire last 4 years trying to destroy the sitting President instead of trying to help the country.  The country has been divided since Obama and isnt going to get any better.  One day soon, the left is going to push hard enough that the silent majority isnt going to be quite so quiet anymore.  You thought America was out of control, the past few years, you aint seen nothing yet.  Just as soon as the next administration starts trying to implement their insane policies and start infringing upon the citizens rights and freedoms, this country is going to explode.

The election has not been decided yet.  The news media does not call an election.  The United States Constitution is clear on how elections are decided.

The United States is not a democracy, Cor.  It's a republic.  There are subtle differences between the two.  The framers of our Constitution were wise as visionary. James Madison, in The Federalist Papers, made the distinction. The republic form of government was thus chosen for our fledgling country.  Along with The Bill of Rights and Amendments to the Constitution, our form of government is clearly defined.

Up for 3 nobel peace prizes, has middle east countries communicating with each other that never would have before him, Isis is stagnant, etc,,,.  I think he did fine.  Some countries like China are upset because he didnt perform the Obama Bend Over, but thats just too bad.

Trump didn't do much to built bridges, did he?

He sure as heck tried last summer when the lefties were burning, looting, and rioting. But he was spurned by Democrat governers trying to push their own agenda.

He also has been trying to get a stimulus bill passed quickly to help those unemployed because of the pandemic, but the Dems—specifically, Nancy Pelosi—have flat-out refused to consider anything the Republicans have put forth.
