'60s Liverpool poet with McCartney links returns for Merseyside play premiere

John Gorman, a member of the satirical '60s pop group The Scaffold that included Paul McCartney's brother Michael, will be the special guest star at the first performance of a new play in Liverpool next month.“Bullets And Daffodils” opens May 2 at The Casa on the city's Hope Street. The work, which profiles British World War I poet Wilfred Owen, was written by Dean Johnson, who took some previously unknown lyrics by George Harrison and turned them into the song “Silence (Is Its Own Reply).”
