I always thought the AHDN album was overrated. Save for the title track, Can't Buy Me Love, And I Love Her and Tell Me Why, it sounds pretty mediocre to my ears. But that's just my opinion.

The Beatles (White Album)....this is the Beatles true masterpiece which defines them as one of the greatest rock bands of the 60's with great pop, rock, blues & folk tracks & a little avant garde.

^I can't dis-agree with that. Rubber Soul and Revolver was the live peak for sure.

But, most remembered for? Hmmm, the debate continues. lol :)

Sorry, but I'm genuinely puzzled as to what a "live peak" is in reference to RS and Rev.

Rubber Soul was the perfection of their early style........so it's probably the best record to introduce people to the band with.

That being their last albums recorded whilst they were still touring as a band.
Sgt. Peppers being their first 'Studio' album. Even though, obviously they were all recorded in a studio.

I see. I must say, it's a funny thing to call two of their great studio albums, a 'live peak'. Oh well, we know what you meant now.

Not necessarily that funny. Live peak makes perfect sense in relation to them being at their most experienced at playing live by the time of recording those albums.

Once the touring stopped with multi-tracking and experimenting coming into play, we all know how much their music changed.

'Multi-tracking  & experimenting' were evident in RS and burgeoning in Revolver. They didn't start 'multi-tracking and experimenting' when they finished touring, they were already well into them. THAT's one of the reasons that they stopped touring - their music had well outgrown three-guitars-and-drums!

tut..Shred the words again. Serious multi-tracking...i.e. 8-track

It was just something not 'too in depth' to explain a little further about their 'live peak.'

Although its hard to choose between the experimental breakthrough Rubber Soul or the ending of The Beatles legacy in Abbey Road I'd have to choose Abbey Road.  Just for the simple fact that the songs on Abbey Road sound whole and on that album The Beatles where able to get away from the studio tricks and experimentation and just do what The Beatles where best at playing Rock and Roll.

I'd have to go for Magical Mystery Tour. Superb album. What a quantum leap of creativity and imagination by the boys to include already released  big hits with their b sides and a handful of unreleased stuff. I bet the marketing men were green with envy.
But I don't know why the Red and Blue albums aren't on the list, cos they're REALLY representative.

I think the Jesus Comment never really affected them as people or musicians.
