On a similar note, you know you're a fan if in history class the teacher is talking about Vladimir Lenin,
but refers to him as just 'Lenin, you think to yourself "John did what?"

That made me laugh ;D.

On another similar note, a few months ago I received a movie called "Dirty Filthy Love" (it's not a porn, it's about a guy with OCD who falls in love with woman with OCD).
In the movie at one point the two are looking at a very tall building.
The man says that he likes it or something and says something like "isn't it beautiful?"
The woman says "I guess one would like it...if they're name's Lenin (or Lennon...not sure who she was talking about)".

Has anyone seen this movie?
The man is played by Michael Sheen (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) and the woman is played by Shirley Henderson (Moaning Myrtle).

Ok, back to the topic:

You might be a fan if you've seen X-Men Origins, and this particular line made you grin like mad:

"So googoogajoob got screwed, huh?"

You know you're a fan if you're watching TV with your in-laws, then you start verbally freaking out ("OH MY GOD IT'S PAUL!!!") because Paul McCartney suddenly appears on the screen.

^  LOL.  Paul has a terrible intoxicating effect on me, apparently.  ;)  Or basically all the Beatles in general.  Even small Paul/Beatles references in everyday life send me in overdrive, it's really pathetic.   ;D :B

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that back in the days of "Communism", they built a whole lot of multi-storied, similar-looking houses in Russia. (There's a Russian movie about a man who catches the wrong plane to the wrong city but doesn't notice partly because the houses look the same (grin) ). That could be a reason for it be "Lenin", maybe, but I'm not too sure....

Hehe, I know what you mean... my friend was humming I Want to Hold Your Hand the other day, and I aked her if she liked that song. She thought about it for a bit and said "why not". I was really happy :)
And I also got excited when the lecturer mentioned Beatle boots in class (I can't remember why she did that... but it was fun ;D )

"And Beatle Boots left a lasting impact on society..." LOL ^

You know other people know you're a fan if someone has ever called you "(your first name)Abbey Road(your last name)"
Or something similar. Maybe they've called you "(first name)I Love the Beatles(last name)"  ;D

You know you're a fan when you actually use the phrase "Sometimes you wonder who's minding the store" in regular conversation...lol

(Anthology nod there)

^ Tee Hee! :D

I have a new work mate and so when we got the time to talk, the first question I asked him (after what's your name, where are you from and bla bla bla) was "So do you like the Beatles?" He does!

Whoa, very random, but I would love to ask people that and have them say yes! :)

You know you're a fan when you're listening to a Paul McCartney tribute show in honor of his birthday on Thursday, and you wind up trying to call the DJ to complain that he has Paul's age all wrong.

(Needless to say, the DJ didn't pick up.  >:( >:( )

I love both of those albums and want to replace them immediately, but with the remasters coming out I should probably wait.  But I'm not sure that I can go 3 months w/o them.  My grandmother bought the Past Masters for me approx 20 years ago and it has been special to me for that reason as well.
