It's an unusual album...uneven with too many "unfinished"-feeling songs, IMO, but with shining spots for sure.

What's your fave Macca album? For the Wings era, I'll guess you'd say...V&M or WATSOS.

Did you know that RRS was supposed to originally be a double album?

In terms of my favorite McCartney record, I'd have to say Speed of Sound followed closely by Venus & Mars.

Originally Red Rose Speedway was planned to be released as a 2 LP set. This is the tracklisting from the acetates of the early incarnation of the album. Most tracks left off the released version ended up on B-sides but some are still unreleased (except on bootlegs).

The Mess
Soily (the provided link mentioned this song as a possibility too)

Too bad they didn't make the cut; they would've made the album stronger, IMO!
