I love Wheatfield Soul a bunch. Awesome album. The Guess Who was a great band, but kind of had a lack of identity to who they wanted to be along the way. They went from a garage rock, psych, pop band, to a somewhat jazzy, rock, lounge act with Burton Cummings. Just a very inconsistent band but had a lot of gems during the process.

A huge benefit concert for the bushfires was held last week. Fun to see Alice Cooper turn out for it. Put on a good show for a 70 something hard rocker.

Yes, they did. And Burton Cummings had the voice for all those music genres you mentioned.

They did a lot of covers, including their first hit, which was before Burton Cummings joined the group. To me he’s their voice but I do love both versions of this one.

Thanks for sharing, Moog. I follow both Brian May and Roger Taylor on Instagram, and they have been posting some amazing pics of the venue, including one of the band performing during a downpour.

I always joke that I looked like Alice Cooper after I had my first baby. I had long(ish) dark hair (still do), and labor was induced without prior notice, so I had makeup on when it all began. Afterward, my mascara was down to my chin.
