Pretend you're George Martin (or whoever is the one who decides what songs go on the album, I'm sure its not the band), and its 1968, and you have to decide which 13 songs out of all the songs recorded to go on the new Beatles self-titled album.
Here I go (wish me luck):
01: Back In The USSR
02: Dear Prudence
03: Glass Onion
04: Ob La Di, Ob La Da
05: While My Guitar Gently Weeps
06: I'm So Tired
07: Piggies
08: Birthday
09: Sexy Sadie
10: Helter Skelter
11: Revolution 1
12: Savoy Truffle
13: Cry Baby Cry
I think the White Album is a nice showcase for George Harrison's songs, as he has three in my selections. This selection of songs would have made it a nice, tight, diverse album - from acoustic ballads to hard ass rock.
What would you choose?
