Paul and Brian Wilson to do a record together?

I dont know how reliable the source is, but i'm psyched. Just a few thoughts-

1. Hopefully the two of them will actually complete this album.
2. Hopefully it will actually be the "rock-n-roll" album that Brian stated. (I know, I know, i'm just wishing for something other than pure fluff although i'd take the fluff)
3. Hopefully these two didnt wait 30 years to long
4. Hopefully, Paul doesnt take over the entire project like he's been known to do. A true group effort would be nice.
5. Last,,,,,Hopefully,,,,,maybe a tour a few years from now.

  Paul is on Brian's new album on the song A Friend Like You. It's quite a good tune. Might be a sample of things to come.

I haven't bought "Smile" but I just ordered "Gettin In Over My Head" so I should get to hear the song in 3 or 4 days.

I just got the Getting in Over My Head album.  The whole album is very much in keeping with Brian Wilson's other solo albums, that is, not up to par with his Beach Boys stuff, but very tuneful.

I'm not terribly impressed with his McCartney duet "A Friend Like You."  The vocals are nice but the lyrics are pretty weak (Brian is a much better music writer than lyric writer, always has been.)  Still I'll be excited if they do a whole album together.

My two all-time favorite songwriters making an album together, that can't be bad...

Too bad they chose to do a rock 'n' roll-album, I would've prefered a pop/ballad album, because to my opinion that's the type of songs that McCartney and Wilson have always been really good at. And it's also too bad that they're doing this now instead of 30-35 years ago when they both were still really good.

I do know this possible McCartney/Wilson music collaboration will probably be the last gasp of greatness from these 2 legendary artists as well as an event of epic proportions in Beatles/Beach Boys history.
