This isn't a movie, but I was enthralled last night to stumble across a
Titanic series on Amazon Prime, done in 2017 and featuring the most trustworthy authors in the field: Ken Marschall, Parks Stephenson, Senan Molony, Bill Sauder, and more.
Amazon modified this series so that each "episode" comprises all the interview excerpts from a single historian; hence, the first episode is all Ken Marschall, with his discusions of survivor Winnie Troutt, the Marconi room, the Turkish baths, and so on. Then the next episode is on Senan Molony on varying topics. It's an unusal way to set up the series and may not appeal to viewers the way, say, an episode with all the historians' discussions interleaved, but I love it, although it's hard not to jump ahead because I am so eager to "hear from" each author.
Lots of new and exciting information has come to light since the early 2000s, which is when I took a long hiatus from the discussion boards because I had three kids under age 4 plus we were continuing to move from state to state.
I was so happy to stumble across this last night that I had to text my daughters and my friends. No doubth their eyes were glazing over. ("Here goes Kathy, nattering on about ships again. . .")
Anyway -- I would
strongly recommend this for anyone who has even a passing interest in the ship.
