Even within you without you was enjoyable for me.

One of my favorite songs on the album.  I feel sorry for those who don't care for the song, who never glimpse the truth, then it's far too late when they pass away.  ;)

Thats cool, I don't like it that much but don't hate it either.  It is a mood song for me for sure but have never put in on a mix (take your pick) cassette/cd/playlist either.

This place where I live used to be THE place in the area to go to hear music. My mom mentioned see quite a few well-known big bands during the late thirties and early forties. But they also had some fantastic local talent. Al Cecchi was a barber by day and many years later cut my husband's hair. :) Lou Russo was in demand here and in Buffalo.

I just came across this today. . . Freddie was exquisitely graceful.

But you know, that saxophone solo exhibited prime exponents of Aeolian cadenzic cosmic stanza form.  It was pure genius!

Yes he missed almost every down beat. You can’t learn that. It’s innate.

Band I was in once, we had a singer like that.
Great voice but every time we played an intro, he missed his cue.
Quite funny really

The US Navy Blue Angels and US Air Force Thunderbirds performed a very rare joint flyover above New York City, Newark, Trenton, and Philadelphia on April 28, 2020 to honor health care and essential workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

That you did, Kev!

I’m cacking myself listening to this. ha2ha It’s like he’d only learned the one note. And not very well

This is a literal LOL. It sounds like he’s playing a large, loud toy saxophone.

When I was listening to that saxophone solo I kept thinking that it sounded familiar. I was trying to remember what other song I’d heard with a sketchy sax solo in it. Then I came across this interview with Jim Freeman from the Five Satins. I found out that even he agrees with our assessment and what the other song was.

It’s a great song otherwise and I feel bad; Vinny seemed like a great guy.

Vinny played sax. The Five Satins needed a solo. The rest was history

I just spoke with my older daughter and pressed her about what my son, who still will have nothing to do with me, asked for for Christmas. (I've already bought my own gifts for him, including a Weekly World News "Bat Boy" t-shirt, LOL.) She said one of the items was a small wooden music box that plays the following tune:

https://youtu.be/kFzViYkZAz4

This makes my heart ache. My son has always been so sensitive and sweet. My daughters both swear that he has said nothing about having a girlfriend. He must just simply like the tune, and for some reason that makes me feel like crying.

I just had to vent in a neutral spot. Well, sort of a neutral spot.

Sometimes Kathy I wonder if kids are meant to just worry us to death.
